'Christmas Star' Over Poway: Photo Of The Day

POWAY, CA — Patch reader and Poway resident Marianna Benedict Bacilla captured this photo of the "great conjunction" of Jupiter and Saturn, also known as the "Christmas Star." The picture was taken with her hand-held camera from her backyard.

"To my complete surprise, this is what I saw," she said. "I'm motivated now to finally learn how to use my camera properly and get some clearer photos!"
