If you haven’t yet been to an open play session, here are a few tips from our Community Services staff:
- Don’t worry if you’re not an expert at the sport – you only need a willingness to learn! Many of the “regulars” are happy to show newcomers the ropes, explain the game and get you playing.
- You don’t need your own equipment but bring it if you have it. The city has limited supply of equipment to rent and requires a valid ID.
- The best way to get playing is to first check poway.org/gyms for the current open play schedule and then show up! For those who like something tangible to put on their fridge or keep in their car, you can pick up a monthly open play schedule at the gym.
