Forum Features Candidates for City Council, School Board
The forum is tonight at Painted Rock Elementary from 7-9 p.m.

Voters will get a chance to hear from candidates in two local races tonight at Painted Rock Elementary School during a forum sponsored by the Poway Chamber of Commerce.
The four candidates for Poway City Council and the three for the Poway Unified School District Board of Education will answer questions at the forum, which begins with the Council candidates at 7 p.m. School board candidates will follow at 8 p.m.
Questions for the candidates at Painted Rock will be chosen by a panel from the Chamber of Commerce and the Green Valley Civic Association. There will be a limited time for candidates to answer questions from the audience.

Voters will fill two seats on the City Council in November. On the ballot will be incumbent Jim Cunningham, Jeff Mangum, Steve Vaus and Gary Vineyard. Â
Two seats on the school board will be on the November ballot, and two of the three candidates are incumbents: Linda Vanderveen and Andy Patapow. Kimberley Beatty is challenging for a seat on the board.
