She owned the restaurant formerly named El Comal Mexican Restaurant.
Maria B. "Licha" Juarez died July 13, according to a U-T San Diego obituary.
She was 78.
She was the owner of El Comal Mexican Restaurant (now ) in Poway and also owned restaurants in North Park and Pacific Beach, according to the newspaper.
