Poway Crime Report: Aug 13-20

Monday, Aug. 13

Two juveniles were detained for possess/purchase smoking paraphernalia at 10:30 a.m.

A 36-year-old male was arrested for DUI and hit and run with property damage in the 14000 block of Community Road just before 3 a.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 14

Thirteen storage structures valued at $6,500 were reported stolen from a business in the 12200 block of Lavelli Way.

A residential burglary was reported in the 13500 block of Sagewood Drive. Currency and other items valued at $3,260 were reported stolen.

A commercial burglary was reported in the 11800 block of Community Road. One item valued at $500 was reported stolen.

Thursday, Aug. 16

A 20-year-old male was arrested for DUI on Poway Road at Midland Road at 2:45 a.m. A 22-year-old male was also arrested, charged with being drunk in public.

Friday, Aug. 17

A residential burglary was reported in the 16400 block of Bronco Lane. Items valued at $2,840 were reported stolen.

A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 13200 block of Silver Saddle Lane.

Computer equipment and a pair of sunglasses with a combined value of $725 were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 13900 block of Olive Crest Way.

Jewelry and clothing valued at $1,600 were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 14000 block of Stowe Drive.

Miscellaneous items valued at $215 were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 13400 block of Calle Colina.

A 23-year-old male was arrested for felony shoplifting from Stater Bros on Poway Road. A food item valued at $3.49 was recovered.

A business in the 13200 block of Gregg Street reported $10,000 was stolen by use of access card information without consent.

A car valued at $1,000 was reported stolen in the 12400 block of Oak Knoll Road.

A subject stop in the 13500 block of Community Road at 9 p.m. led to the arrest of a 20-year-old male for felony possession of a controlled substance.

Saturday, Aug. 18

A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 13000 block of Camino Del Valle.  

Electronic devices valued at $320 were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 17300 block of Saint Andrews Drive.

A car valued at $2,500 was reported stolen in the 13600 block of Pomerado Road.

Electronic equipment valued at $3,500 was reported stolen from a building in the 14300 block of Silver Heights Road.

Athletic equipment valued at $1,500 was reported stolen from a residence in the 17100 block of Saint Andrews Drive.

A subject stop in the 15500 block of Espola Road just before 4 p.m. resulted in two juveniles detained for possession of marijuana.

Sunday, Aug. 19

A wallet and $250 in cash were reported stolen from a building in the 13100 block of Bowron Road.

Monday, Aug. 20

A commercial burglary was reported in the 12300 block of Poway Road. Two computer hard drives and $12,000 in currency were reported stolen.
