Sign Up for Poway National Little League or Catch a Movie Friday

1. Swing, Batter Batter: Fall Ball registration for Poway National Little League is open. Visit www.pnll.org to learn more. 

2. A Lesson in History: Witness to Gettyburg is showing at PowPAC this weekend on Aug. 4. Annette Hubbell stars in this one-woman show and tickets can be purchased already for $10 online. (Psst: We saw this show in Ramona! It's got some great insight to the battle!)

3. Come Another Time: City Hall is closed today. If you need to visit this week, you can stop by Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

4. Catch a Flick: It's Friday, treat the kids to a movie! Poway's Digiplex is showing some kid-friendly follow-up films, like Despicable Me 2 and Smurfs 2. Check out showtimes online.

5. There's a New Marshall in Town: The Poway Parade has named its Grand Marshall and it's former Poway Mayor and Councilman Carl Kruse. The Sept. 7 event is still looking for sponsors and supporters!
