Students at Discovery Isle Preschool Celebrate Earth Day

Students at Discovery Isle Preschool on Ted Williams Parkway in Poway celebrated Earth Day on April 22 with a variety of activities focused on learning to care for the planet. Students planted flowers, created Earth-inspired art from recycled materials, and released butterflies in their schoolyard and back into the environment.

Leading up to Earth Day, students studied the lifecycle of butterflies, learned about the important role of plants in creating oxygen and providing food, and discussed ways that they can help keep Earth healthy. Discovery Isle Preschool teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
