Students at Discovery Isle® Preschool Give Back this Holiday

Students donated food, pajamas, childcare items and art supplies to local charities

Students at Discovery Isle Preschool in Scripps-Poway recently held multiple donation drives to benefit their local community during the holiday season. In November, students held a food drive for the San Diego Food Bank and donated over 200 nonperishable food items to provide meals to families in need. In December, Discovery Isle students held a donation drive for Casa de Amparo, a local nonprofit that provides programs and services for those affected by child abuse and neglect. Students donated more than 70 essential items to the organization, including baby food, diapers, clothing and art supplies. Additionally, students partnered with Discovery Isle Preschool on Ted Williams Parkway to hold a pajama drive for Rady’s Children’s Hospital. Together, the two schools donated over 100 pajamas to provide comfort to children receiving treatment at the hospital. Through these initiatives, students learned the value of spreading kindness to their community.
