The Summer solstice starts tomorrow, but Patch got a head start on a favorite summer pastime: ice cream consumption!
We hit up Lappert's Ice Cream on 12265 Scripps Poway Parkway and indulged in a Bing Cherry Cone.
According to a Lappert's employee, the ice cream company was started by a man from Hawaii and is currently the largest ice cream distributor in the U.S. and second largest coffee distributor.
And it sure feels like summer with my cone in hand. While I wipe off the ice cream drips on my keyboard, tell me in the comments: What's your favorite way to celebrate summer in Poway?
