Boys, Girls Club to Hold Annual Day for Kids
There will be games, music, crafts, face painting, and free food. Here's how you can volunteer to help.
Announcement from the Boys & Girls Clubs--
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside will host its Day for Kids annual community block party on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The free, public event is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hansberger Clubhouse, 1251 Clay St., Redlands. This year’s theme is “Power to Create Change.”

Day for Kids celebrates youth and the community they live in, and offers families a chance to spend time together. There will be games, music, crafts, face painting, and free food.
Participating organizations and sponsors include Panda Express, the Kiwanis Club of Redlands, Home Depot, IEHP, Starbucks, Target, iHerb, Del Taco, Hometown Buffet, Wells Fargo, Molina Healthcare, Grainger Industrial Supply and the Redlands Police Department.

“Day for Kids is an opportunity for everyone in the community to invest in and celebrate our youth,” said Club vice president Mark Davis.
Additionally, the Sight for Students program will offer free eye screenings and free glasses to youth 5 to 18. Sight for Students is a charity of Vision Service Plan that serves low-income, uninsured children.

Volunteers are being sought for Day for Kids. Volunteers can help with setup, running booths and cleanup.
