Dad Charged With Murdering 6-Month-Old Daughter: SBCSD
The baby was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
YUCAIPA, CA — A father has been charged with murdering his six-month-old daughter in Yucaipa, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said.
Alfonso Ornelas, 28, is charged with murder and assault on a child in connection to the death. Police say they were called to the 35000 block of Persimmon Avenue before noon on Saturday, and gave medical aid to the baby, who was not breathing.
The baby was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center, police said. Despite lifesaving efforts, she was pronounced dead at 6:41 p.m.
