The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the sixth time in seven days, increasing seven-tenths of a cent to $3.877.
The average price is 4.1 cents more than one week ago but 13 cents less than one month ago and 29.8 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The Orange County average price rose today for the seventh time in eight days, increasing seven-tenths of a cent to $3.849. It is 4.3 cents more than one week ago, but 13.7 cents less than one month ago and 30.6 cents lower than one year ago.
“We have seen wholesale prices jumping in the last several days to about the same level they were a month ago, but luckily, we are seeing only small price jumps in Southern California markets,” Marie Montgomery of the Automobile Club of Southern California told City News Service.
