Girls Learn Importance of Observations in Science at Camp Einstein
Along with science activities, campers also will participate in outdoor games and campfires, and sleep in teepees.

From Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside: Girls learned about the power of heat and pressure through a variety of experiments at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside’s Camp Einstein recently.
Girls’ camp was held July 13-16 and boys’ camp is July 27-30, both at the Burrage Mansion. Over the course of the overnight camp, kids learn not only about science but also about the importance of observations and various perspectives of ideas.
Last weekend, girls learned about pressure and the influence heat has on it by watching water escape from a beaker as steam and balloons in a vacuum-sealed container.

Science teacher Ted Ducey performed the experiments while the girls worked in groups to draw their observations.

“It’s not only important to watch closely at an experiment, but it is also important to listen to everyone’s ideas because not every idea or observation is the same,” Ducey said.
