Redlands Community Senior Center Hosts Technology Training Workshop

A guest speaker from AT&T Julio Figueroa will be conducting a workshop for tablet tutorials on June 30.

From Redlands Community Senior Center: Enjoy a free continental breakfast and learn the basics of using a tablet with guest speakers Julio Figueroa from AT&T, State Sen. Mike Morrell, and State Assemblyman Marc Steinorth at the Redlands Community Senior Center from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 30.

AT&T’s presentation will be an interactive tutorial with tablets, which will include touchscreen basics, surfing the web, taking and sharing photos, maps and more. This course is intended for beginners.

This fun-filled learning event is a hands-on course with tablets provided for each participant to practice with during the workshop. There is limited space available. Please RSVP by calling the Redlands Community Senior Center at (909) 798-7579.

Transportation is also available for Redlands residents 55 or older through the City of Redlands Senior Transportation Program. At a minimal cost of $3.50 apiece City staff will pick riders up at their doorsteps and transport them to the center to attend the workshop and back home. Reservations for transportation must be made in advance by calling (909) 335-9660.

The Technology Training workshop is a free program open to the public that takes place before the senior nutritional lunch program at the Redlands Community Senior Center. Hot meals are served Mondaythrough Friday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The hot meals are available to all adults. A donation of $3 is suggested for those 60 or older, and guests under 60 may enjoy lunch for $6.
