Redlands Fire Dept Sets Town Hall Meetings To Discuss Fire Threat
The Redlands Fire Dept is inviting the community to attend one of two town hall meetings to learn about the risks of wildfires.
REDLANDS, CA -- The Redlands Fire Department is inviting the local community to come to one of two town hall meetings to learn about the risks of wildland fires and how to be prepared.
The meetings are set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, and 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17. Both meetings take place in the Grace Mullen Auditorium at the Redlands High School campus, 840 E. Citrus Ave.
During the gatherings, Redlands Fire Chief Nathan Cooke and members of the department will discuss ways residents can prepare for wildfire.

Wildfires have recently devastated communities throughout California. A third of Redlands has been identified within the Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, meaning the risk of a major destructive wildland fire is very high.
