Wastewater Pipeline Replacement to Begin on Stuart Street

The project will begin May 16 and is expected to be completed by July 16. Through traffic on Stuart Street will be restricted.

From the City of Redlands: Construction to replace wastewater pipeline will begin Tuesday on Stuart Street between Texas and Eureka streets as part of the private retail development project at the intersection of Stuart and Eureka.

The project will begin May 16 and is expected to be completed by July 16. Project timelines may change as a result of unforeseen events or weather conditions.

Pumps will be used on site to allow wastewater service to continue as sections of pipe are removed and replaced. Excavation activities will include jackhammering and use of heavy machinery to break and remove road surfaces.

Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Through traffic on Stuart Street will be restricted. Access to properties will be made available at all times. Electronic message boards will be located at each end of Stuart Street to provide construction updates.

The project is managed by Moorefield Construction. The pipeline improvements have been reviewed and approved by the City of Redlands. Detour plans have also been reviewed and approved by the City.
