Koo, Poster, Diehl Lead Beach Cities Health District Board Race
Martha B. Koo, Vanessa Poster and Jane Diehl are leading the Beach Cities Health District Board race, according to preliminary results.

Redondo, Hermosa and Manhattan Beach residents have chosen which candidates they want to represent them in the three open seats on Beach Cities Health District member of the Board of Directors. Martha B. Koo was leading with 26,801 votes, followed by Vanessa Poster with 25,912 votes and Jane Diehl with 25,417 votes. Vish Chatterji has 22,501 votes and Karen Komatinsky has 13,266 votes.

There were six candidates for Beach Cities Health District member of the Board of Directors, which is a 4-year term.
"The Board of Directors of the Beach Cities Health District consists of five (5) Directors, each of whom must be a registered voter residing in the District (see map of jurisdiction)," according to Beach Cities Health District's website.
Voters also decided which of the three candidates running for West Basin District 3 will fill the one open seat for a 4-year term.
These were the six candidates on the ballot for Board of Directors — Beach Cities Health District:
- Vish Chatterji - Board Member, Beach Cities Health District
- Jane A. Diehl - Board Member, Beach Cities Health District
- Karen A. Komatinsky - School Board Trustee
- Martha B. Koo - Physician
- Vanessa I. Poster - Board Member, Beach Cities Health District
- Fred Fasen - Sponsorship director for Beach Cities Cycling Club
Fasen, Komatinsky and Koo are challengers in the race. Chatterji, Diehl and Poster are incumbents.
