New Massage Spa Plans Fall Opening In South Bay

EL SEGUNDO, CA — The NOW Massage is planning to open its first South Bay locale this fall in The Works marketplace in El Segundo.

“We are excited to open our first boutique in the South Bay and continue The NOW’s national expansion by bringing our unique aesthetic and elevated massage experience to the area,” said Gara Post, co-founder and chief creative officer of the Los Angeles-based business

The company — aiming for a luxury, neighborhood spa-feel — launched in 2015, and now operates locations in Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Studio City and Silver Lake.

The NOW features three signature massages: The NOW, a relaxation massage; The HEALER, an energy-balancing massage for stress reduction; and The STRETCH, a sports-inspired recovery massage.

Clients also can select from such add-ons as: Calm Balm, with cooling peppermint; Herbal Heat Therapy for necks and backs; Scalp Renewal using organic coconut oil; and the Gua Sha, traditional Chinese medicine technique with rose quartz tools.
