Gas Leak Closes Pacific Coast Highway In Redondo Beach

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Pacific Coast Highway was closed in both directions Wednesday as crews investigated a reported gas leak in Redondo Beach.

Drivers were urged to avoid the area of Pacific Coast Highway between Francisca Avenue and Ruby Street early Wednesday, officials said.

"Both directions of travel have been closed for unknown duration while the Fire Department handles a gas leak incident," officials said. "Southern California Gas Co has been notified."
