REDONDO BEACH, CA —Celebrity chef Guy Fieri recently opened 100 Flavortown ghost kitchens across the country, including one in Redondo Beach.

The "ghost kitchen" concept has no in-person dining options, and the eatery is open for delivery-only.

The pop-up kitchens are now in more than 20 states and Washington, D.C. Eighteen locations have launched in California — Redondo Beach, Brea, Campbell, Carlsbad, Claremont, Encino, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Pasadena, Rancho Cucamonga, Roseville, Santa Clarita, Thousand Oaks, Universal City and San Diego.

Menu items for the delivery-only restaurant include Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ Wings, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Mac N' Cheese Burger, Crazy Cuban Sandwich and fried pickles, among other offerings. The "handpicked menu" features Fieri's favorite dishes, according to Flavortown.

Fieri, who has hosted Food Network Shows such as "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," is running Flavortown with Planet Hollywood founder Robert Earl and Virtual Dining Concepts LLC. Earl is also behind Bertucci's, Bravo Italian Kitchen, Brio Italian Grille and Buca di Beppo, according to Eater, which reported they already own the Chicken Guy! chain together.

The Flavortown pop-ups will operate out of existing industrial kitchens at Earl's restaurants, according to Eater.

Flavortown started with a handful of locations in late January and early February in businesses owned by Earl, according to The Washington Post, which reported the idea was to keep workers employed and provide another revenue stream for brick-and-mortar restaurants. Employees prepare food from scratch and are trained by Fieri and Earl's companies, The Post reported, although its writer stated: "Based on my limited tastings, they need more training."

The Redondo Beach Flavortown is located at 1670 South Pacific Coast Highway. People can order online; there is no in-person service since Flavortown is all delivery.
