Here's how to prevent the rising catalytic converter thefts in Redondo Beach.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — You can help prevent catalytic converter thefts by taking action and joining an etching event Thursday.
The catalytic converter etching event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, 1953 Manhattan Beach Blvd.
The RB Catalytic converter etching helps law enforcement to connect a catalytic converter to the original owner in the event it is stolen, officials said.

No reservations are required. Attendees must be Redondo Beach residents and should be able to show proof of residency at the event (CDL/ID and vehicle registration).
