Limited Number Of Vaccine Appointments Open Up In The South Bay

A limited number of vaccine appointments are now available in the South Bay this weekend. Find out how to sign up.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A limited number of vaccine appointments just opened up Saturday morning at BCHD's AdventurePlex in Manhattan Beach, organizers told Patch.

Appointments are now available from 9 a.m. to noon. Visit www.MyTurn.ca.gov to make an appointment and search for AdventurePlex in Manhattan Beach. You can also search for zip code 90266.

"Act fast, there's approximately 280 spots available," BCHD announced Friday.

BCHD's AdventurePlex also has appointments slated for this Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Vaccination appointments are open to anyone living or working in Los Angeles County age 16 and older. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered, organizers said. AdventurePlex is located at 1701 Marine Ave., Manhattan Beach.

Appointments are required. Sign up for an appointment at MyTurn.ca.gov.

Teens ages 16 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who can provide consent for the vaccination. Pfizer is the only authorized vaccine for this age group, organizers said.

A clinic partnership with South Bay Family Health Care and BCHD also has vaccination appointments Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 514 N. Prospect Ave., Redondo Beach. The Moderna vaccine will be administered at the Redondo Beach clinic. For teens ages 16 and 17, the Moderna vaccine is not authorized for this age group.

Additional vaccine clinics at AdventurePlex will be scheduled and announced as vaccine supply is confirmed, organizers said.
