One Injured In Shooting In Torrance

REDONDO BEACH, CA — One person was wounded in a shooting in Torrance, authorities said Friday morning.

Officers responded to a reports of shots fired about 9:20 p.m. Thursday in the 23100 block of Ladeene Avenue, near Calle Mayor, and found a victim with a gunshot wound, according to Sgt. Alexander Martinez of the Torrance Police Department.

The victim was treated at the scene by Torrance Fire Department paramedics and taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, Martinez said.

A detailed description of the suspect was not immediately available.
