Possible Antique Grenade Prompts Evacuations In Torrance

REDONDO BEACH, CA – A possible antique grenade was found Wednesday afternoon at a Torrance business undergoing renovations, police said.

The device was located about 2:35 p.m. in the 1300 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, according to Torrance police Sgt. Ronald Harris.

Neighboring businesses and residences were evacuated as a precaution and the public was being advised to avoid Crenshaw Boulevard between Torrance Boulevard and El Dorado Street, Harris said.
