Redondo Beach residents cast their votes at a vote center at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — People wore face masks, shields, gloves and kept their distance at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center on Election Day, casting their votes for the primary election amid the pandemic.

Voters arrived early at 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd., Redondo Beach.
A steady flow of people continued to enter the location to cast their vote at the gymnasium throughout the day, election official Scott English told Patch.

"We had a bit of a rush first thing," English told Patch.

About 15 volunteers were at the location guiding voters through the process and answering questions.
