Redondo Beach's Halloween Stroll event in the Riviera Village is canceled this year.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — Halloween in Redondo Beach this year is all about staying safe while having a spooky time.
And while there's still time to pick a pumpkin, roast seeds, make a pie or host a virtual costume party, some traditions will have to wait this year. A favorite local event will be called off this year due to the pandemic—the annual Halloween Stroll event in the Riviera Village.
City officials announced the cancellation Thursday ahead of Halloween this weekend.

The popular event included passing out candy in prior years, but due to the pandemic, health officials are encouraging people to stay put this year and help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Redondo Beach Public Library recommends some craft ideas with items families already have at home. The librarians even have recommendations for teenagers. The CDC also recommends hosting a family movie night or decorating together at home.
