Redondo Beach School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Redondo Beach is August 30. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Redondo Beach Unified School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/10: No School (Veterans' Day)
• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

• 12/4 - 12/5, 12/7 - 12/8, 12/12: Parent Conferences
• 12/8: End of First Trimester (K-5)
• 12/18 - 1/1: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Recess)
• 1/15: No School (M.L. King Day)

February

• 2/2: End of Second Quarter (6-12)
• 2/5: No School for Middle and High School Students (Professional Development Day)

• 2/19: Presidents Day
