Suspect Accused Of Stabbing Relative To Death Found And Arrested

A suspect accused of stabbing a relative to death in Redondo Beach and fleeing was found and arrested early Thursday.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — A 24-year-old man accused of stabbing a relative to death this week in Redondo Beach was found and arrested, police said.

A citizen reported recognizing suspect Adrian Gudino near the area of Inglewood and Artesia boulevards Thursday about 9:30 a.m. and called police, according to the Redondo Beach Police Department.

Officers responded to the location and took the suspect into custody without incident, police said.

Gudino was taken to the Redondo Beach jail and booked on suspicion of murder, police said. His bail was set at $2M.

Gudino is accused of stabbing Gloria Pressett, 68, during a family fight early Tuesday in the 2000 block of Carnegie Lane, just south of Artesia Boulevard. It's unclear how Gudino and Pressett were related.

Pressett was taken to a hospital and died from her injuries, police said.

Gudino fled from the area and police were searching for him over the last few days.
