Suspect Arrested In Del Amo Fashion Center Shooting
An 18-year-old was arrested in connection with a June 3 shooting at the Torrance mall that left one person wounded.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — Police said an 18-year-old Bellflower man was arrested Saturday in connection with a June 3 shooting at the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance that left one person wounded.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and later released, said Sgt. Ronald Harris of the Torrance Police Department.
The alleged assailant, Jose Salazar, was arrested about 1:15 a.m. Saturday by the Redondo Beach Police Department during a traffic stop.

Salazar allegedly provided police with a false name and was arrested for suspected sales of narcotics, Harris said.
"During the booking process, the suspect was positively identified and the charge of attempted murder was added," he said.

The attempted murder allegedly occurred on June 3 a little before 3 p.m. when officers in Torrance responded to a report of shots fired at the Del Amo Fashion Center, 3525 Carson St., where someone had been struck by gunfire and a lone suspect fled the scene.
Torrance police asked anyone with information regarding the June 3 shooting to call them at 310-618-5570.
