Woman Arrested After Crash Kills Motorcyclist In Redondo Beach

The woman, who is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol, was arrested and freed on $100,000 bail.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — A 31-year-old woman was free on bail Tuesday following her arrest on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated in connection with a crash in Redondo Beach that killed a 51-year-old motorcyclist.

The crash occurred about 6:25 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Rindge Lane and Artesia Boulevard, according to Redondo Beach Police Department Lt. Fabian Saucedo.

"The motorcyclist sustained significant injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to Harbor General Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries and died," Saucedo said.

The rider was from Redondo Beach. His name was not immediately available.

Samantha Natalie Herasme of Rancho Palos Verdes, who is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol, was arrested that night and freed on $100,000 bail Monday.
