Police: Woman Robbed in Parking Lot

A woman reported to police that she was assaulted and robbed Friday night as she walked to her car in a parking lot on Pacific Coast Highway in South Redondo Beach.

According to police, the woman was forced down by the back of her neck while a possible second assailant took money from her back pocket. The victim was able to fight back and escape.

Police responded to the scene, which occurred in the Albertsons parking lot in the 600 block of North Pacific Coast Highway at 10:44 p.m. Officers were unable to locate the woman's assailants.
