CVS To Add COVID-19 Vaccine Sites In San Diego County
The COVID-19 vaccine is now being administered at 286 CVS Pharmacy locations in California.
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — CVS Health will administer COVID-19 vaccines to eligible populations as early as Sunday, March 14, at 119 additional CVS Pharmacy locations across California, the company announced Thursday. A company spokeswoman confirmed to Patch that "a significant number of new sites" are in San Diego County.
The additional locations add to the 167 stores previously activated in the state.
"We're proud to play a part in increasing access to the vaccine to as many people as possible to enable reopening efforts in the communities we serve," said Neela Montgomery, president of CVS Pharmacy and executive vice president of CVS Health.

"Feedback on every aspect of the vaccination process has been incredibly positive, from the digital experience to interacting with our team of health care professionals whose incredible efforts are helping to move us one step closer towards the eventual end of the pandemic."
Vaccines will be available to people who meet state eligibility criteria, as well as K-12 teachers and staff and childcare workers, according to CVS Health. Appointments are required and can be booked for the new locations starting Saturday. People can register in advance at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app. Those without online access can contact CVS customer service at 800-746-7287.
