Local Nonprofits To Receive Grants From County Employees' Fund

The San Diego County Employees' Charitable Organization​ will distribute over $138,000 on Friday.

SAN DIEGO, CA — The San Diego County Employees’ Charitable Organization (CECO) on Friday will announce $138,520 in grants to 86 local nonprofit programs.

The grant program is funded by donations from San Diego County employees and retirees. Beneficiaries include Alzheimer's San Diego, Coastal Roots Farm, License to Freedom, MANA de San Diego, San Diego Civic Youth Ballet, Urban Corps of San Diego County and more.

The grants will be presented by a CECO representative along with San Diego County Chief Administrative Officer Michael Vu. The presentation will be streamed live at 8 a.m. on Friday.

CECO said in a release it collects donations from San Diego County employees and retirees and provides 100 percent of received donations to local nonprofits and county employees in crisis.
