Man Shot After Getting Out Of Car In Linda Vista Neighborhood

A 30-year-old man was shot in the thigh as he was getting out of his car in the Linda Vista neighborhood, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA β€” A 30-year-old man was shot in the thigh as he was getting out of his car in the Linda Vista neighborhood, police said Monday.

The shooting happened about 11:20 p.m. Sunday on Linbrook Drive, off Ulric Street just west of state Route 163, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.

The victim had just parked his car and gotten out when he was shot at least once in the left thigh, Heims said. The victim walked to his sister's house nearby, and she drove him to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
