America's Finest City ranks as the third-best city in the country to celebrate Valentine's Day in 2020, according to WalletHub.

To determine the most romantic yet affordable cities for celebrating the holiday, the people at the personal finance website compared 100 of the largest U.S. cities across 26 key metrics, ranging from florists per capita to forecasted precipitation to cost of a three-course meal for two.

  • 22nd – average ticket price for Valentine's Day party*
  • 21st – cost of three-course meal for two*
  • 16th – restaurants per capita
  • 1st – number of attractions
  • 33rd – average movie-ticket price*
  • 16th – jewelry stores per capita
  • 10th – florists per capita
  • 17th – average beverage price*
  • 12th – greeting-card stores and gift shops per capita
  • 18th – weather forecast for Valentine's Day
