Students at Discovery Isle Preschool Take Flight for Earth Day
Students celebrated Earth Day by releasing butterflies in their schoolyard
On April 22, students at Discovery Isle Preschool in the Penasquitos area of San Diego celebrated Earth Day and taking care of the planet by releasing butterflies throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Leading up to Earth Day, students observed caterpillars, their cocoon development and transformation into butterflies. Discovery Isle teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
