SAN DIEGO, CA — Today's photo of the day comes from Stephen Batiz in San Diego. Batiz submitted this photo of the Unconditional Surrender Statue in Tuna Wharf Park on May 16.

The statue is based on Alfred Eisenstaedt's photo "V-J Day in Times Square," taken August 14, 1945.

The statue stands 25 feet tall.
