Authorities released the name of a woman found shot to death over the weekend on a roadside near Emerald Hills Park.
SAN DIEGO, CA β Authorities Tuesday released the name of a woman found shot to death over the weekend on a roadside near Emerald Hills Park.
A man flagged down firefighters who happened to be at the park in the 1500 block of Kelton Road shortly before 10:30 a.m. Sunday and asked them to check on an apparently wounded occupant of a car parked on nearby Bethune Court, according to the San Diego Police Department.
As they approached the vehicle, the emergency-services personnel saw that there appeared to be bullet holes in the windshield and that the woman inside -- later identified as 44-year-old Tamara Shellum of San Diego -- was "obviously deceased," SDPD Lt. Andra Brown said.
