A Bee Swarm, Swearing Juveniles and a Residential Burglary

The Fairfax Police blotter for May 8-11 includes a report of a suspicious male with an infant, who turned out to be a father taking his child for a walk.

Saturday, May 11

DUI: 2:15 a.m. Taylor Drive and Claus Drive. Subject arrested and booked into Marin County Jail for driving under the influence.

Service: 6:09 p.m. Manor Road. Bee swarm located and removed by beekeeper.
Disturbance: 10:16 p.m. Arroyo Road. 911 report of a disturbance between roommates.

Public intoxication: 11:02 p.m. Olema Road. Report of an intoxicated subject in the reporting person’s driveway. Subject was arrested and booked in Marin County Jail for public intoxication.

Noise complaint: Cypress Drive. 11:23 p.m. On Cypress or Canyon, report of fireworks for the past 20 minutes.

Friday, May 10

DUI: 1:12 a.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd and Pastori Avenue. Driver was cited and released for DUI. Passenger was arrested and booked to Marin County Jail for public intoxication.

Theft: 12:34 p.m. Deer Park School on Porteous Avenue. RP came in to report that a purse and other items were stolen from a car in the parking lot between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Noise complaint: 7:17 p.m. 7-Eleven on Bolinas Road. Group of juveniles swearing and playing music. Subjects were contacted and abated.

With subjects: 8:14 p.m. Parkade, Sir Francis Drake Blvd and Claus Drive. Subjects contacted in the Parkade. A report was taken for found property.

Danger to self: 8:35 p.m. Banchero Way. Report of a suicidal juvenile. Subject transported to the Marin General Hospital crisis unit.

Thursday, May 9

Fraud: 4:43 p.m. Perry’s Delicatessen on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. RP said a subject claiming to be from PG&E threatened to turn their power off if they did not get them a cashier’s check. RP will follow up with the Fairfax Police Department when available.

Suspicious circumstances: 10:44 p.m. Redwood Road. Report of a suspicious male carrying an infant. Officers responded and determined a father was taking his child on a walk to help them sleep.

Wednesday, May 8

Suspicious circumstances: 2:28 p.m. Scenic Road. RP came home to find a box with miscellaneous opened mail and items to another address on his carport.

Found property: 2:51 p.m. Fairfax Police Department on Bolinas Road. Juvenile dropped off sunglasses found on the bench right in front of the Fairfax Police Department.

Burglary: 4:22 p.m. San Gabriel Drive. RP came home to find the kitchen window open and certain items scattered throughout. RP entered the house and immediately left.
