The Fairfax Police blotter for March 9-12 includes a DUI arrest and doorbell ditching.

 

Tuesday, March 12

Assist: 12:11 p.m. Fairfax Lumber and Hardware on Broadway. Employee said a customer has paid for multiple items (roughly $700 worth) with checks on closed accounts.

Juvenile problem: 7:07 p.m. Fairfax Plaza on Center Blvd. Anonymous complaint of a large group of juveniles gathered in the plaza, riding skateboards and damaging the plants in doing so.

DUI: 11:16 p.m. Scenic Road and Bay Road. Extreme DUI driver in a white pickup, going up Scenic Road from Azalea. Disposition: arrest made.

Monday, March 11

Animal complaint: 2:15 p.m. Lansdale Avenue and Baywood Court. Report of a small brown dog with a purple vest wandering in the road.

Juvenile problem: 6:47 p.m. Fairfax Market on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. One of the employees confiscated a knife that was being carried by a juvenile inside the store earlier today.

 

Sunday, March 10 

Hazard: 1:50 a.m. Bolinas Road. RP (reporting person) said some juveniles rolled trash cans into the road to create a slalom course.

Theft: 9:19 a.m. Drake Manor Apartments on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. RP advised unknown subjects siphoned the gas out of her vehicle last night.

Generic fire call: 8:20 p.m. Former Good Earth building on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Strobe lights flashing inside.

Vehicle accident: 9:16 p.m. Fairfax Theatre on Broadway. RP is at the police lobby reporting she was just sideswiped by a young female driver fronting the theater/Peri’s. RP did get insurance information from the other driver but would like to document the incident.

 

Saturday, March 9 

Disturbance: 7:27 p.m. Charter Oaks Apartments on Center Blvd. RP’s brother is a meth addict who is causing a problem and is refusing to leave. RP will wait outside. Subject has a knife on him, but has not brandished it.

Unwanted subject: 9:52 p.m. Scenic Road. Her home was “doorbell ditched” twice. It occurred 30 minutes ago and again 15 minutes ago. RP wants extra patrol.

Hazard: 10:09 p.m. Toyon Drive. A truck has rolled down and is hanging over the edge. It’s at a very steep angle. Al four wheels are on the ground, but it could go down the hill. Owner was contacted who was aware of the problem. Owner called for a tow truck.
