A Swarm of Bees in Fairfax and Multiple Gunshot Reports
The Fairfax Police Log for Aug. 2-6 includes two subjects wearing masks and a "petite older lady" who stole two books from Rainbow Fabrics.

Monday, August 6
Bees: 2:24 p.m. Dominga Avenue. Reporting person said there was a tree with a large swarm of bees. Reporting person said the bees weren’t there earlier, but they are now causing people to duck and run to try to evade them.

Trespassing: 4:16 p.m. Snowden Lane. Neighbor who is doing construction had his contractor drive a backhoe through the reporting person’s yard, damaging the sprinkler system and leaving a huge gouge in the landscaping that will cause erosion problems. The neighbor did not have permission from the property owner to cross his property.
Tree down: 5:39 p.m. Parkade on Sir Francis Drake Blvd and Claus Drive. Reporting person said a large tree branch cracked and fell in the Parkade. Caller said it is blocking a portion of the roadway, but cars are getting by.
Drug violation: 10:21 p.m. Azalea Avenue. Reporting person said a young male subject was sitting in the dirt with his head in his hands. Subject did not respond to the reporting person when asked if he was OK.

Sunday, August 5
Found property: 8:27 a.m. Women’s Club on Park Road. Keys were left on the premises.
Traffic problem: 1:35 p.m. Olema Road and Bothin Road. Large amount of glass in the roadway.
Noise complaint: 9:39 p.m. Crest Road. Reporting person said he heard what sounded like a single gunshot.
Noise complaint: 9:41 p.m. Cascade Drive. Reporting person said they heard gunshots in the hills above Cascade.
Saturday, August 4
Loud juvenile party: 12:41 a.m. Forrest Avenue. Noise complaint of a loud juvenile party.
Theft: 9:38 p.m. Broadway. Reporting person believes her prescription medication was stolen last night from her purse.
Bike theft: 12:15 p.m. Good Earth on Center Blvd. Reporting person said his bicycle was stolen sometime last night.
Suspicious person: 4:07 p.m. Park Road and Merwin Avenue. Two subjects with masks covering their faces were walking down Park Road.
Parking complaint: 10:10 p.m. Toyon Drive at Oak Road. Anonymous complaint of a loud party in the area, as well as cars parked with insufficient clearance.
Thursday, August 2
Shots fired: 2:55 a.m. Cascade Drive. Reporting person heard what sounded like two shots somewhere in the cascades.
Theft: 11:28 a.m. Rainbow Fabrics on Bolinas Road. Reporting person knows who the subject is but cannot give a description other than a petite older lady. Subject stole two books.
Bike theft: 2:59 p.m. Meernaa Avenue. Reporting person’s $3,000 bicycle was stolen from his front yard sometime between July 30 and today. It’s an older Trek model, black in color.
Barking dog: 7:05 p.m. Inyo Avenue. Dog barking for five to 10 minutes. It’s a recurring problem and becoming a nuisance for the reporting person.
