"All About Wine" Charity Fundraiser to Feature Chef Rodney Worth

Help the Gretta Foundation and Nursing Education!!!

Executive Chef Rodney Worth to be Culinary Partner for
The Gretta Foundation’s Second Annual All About Wine fundraising event.

Event to be held on Saturday, October 24 at the Lafayette Veterans Memorial Building.

(San Francisco, CA) August 10, 2015 - The Gretta Foundation announced the addition of Executive Chef Rodney Worth, six-time East Bay Chef of the Year, as the Culinary Partner for the 2015 All About Wine fundraising and wine sales event. In addition to owning and operating six successful restaurants under Worth Group – including his flagship, “The Peasant & the Pear” in Danville - Chef Rodney has received accolades from many of the world’s leading culinary magazines including Michelin, Zagat and Bon Appetít. The 2015 All About Wine event will take place on Saturday, October 24 from 6pm-9pm at the Veterans Memorial Building in Lafayette, California.

All About Wine will feature tastings of multiple varietals from 20 of the premiere wineries in Northern California as well as culinary indulgences prepared by Executive Chef Rodney Worth. In addition attendees will receive a beautiful commemorative wine glass, a swag bag packed with special surprises, and will be treated to an extraordinary live auction and more. Attendees will also be able to purchase exquisite wines, many from boutique wineries with limited production which are not found in big box stores. A portion of the proceeds from the wine sales will benefit The Gretta Foundation.

With Rodney’s participation organizers are expecting a capacity audience and are encouraging those interested in attending and supporting The Gretta Foundation to buy their tickets early. Tickets are $100 offering attendees a memorable evening of exclusive wines, food pairings and enchanting surprises.

The Gretta Foundation’s mission is to provide in-country nursing education to impoverished persons living in disease-burdened nations while bolstering depleted healthcare workforces and improving patient care and outcomes. The Gretta Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 2007 by Meg Styles in honor of her mother, the late Dr. Margretta (“Gretta”) Madden Styles.
