In October, the Board of Supervisors approved a plan to move the county workforce forward and create a thriving organization to deliver high quality services to the public. Progress on the plan will be presented at a workshop to the Board in the morning, prior to start of the regular meeting.

SAP Financial System Replacement – Board to Consider Initial Phase Contract
How the County can improve its financial, human resources, budget, and purchasing practices before selecting a new computer system to replace SAP Staff selected Plante Moran, a consulting firm with over 25 years of experience working with public sector clients. The value of the contract for this first phase of the project is not to exceed $599,250.

21 New Green Businesses to be Certified
This month, 21 new businesses have qualified to be certified as part of Marin County’s Green Business Program, including businesses in Novato, San Rafael, Fairfax, Larkspur, Mill Valley, Tiburon, and Greenbrae. Since 2002, this program has provided opportunities for local businesses to embrace solutions that will protect the economic and environmental resources of our community.

Presentation on Agricultural Summit and Support Action Plan
The Farm Advisor is presenting a short, medium, and long-term action-item report to the Board of Supervisors, designed to support the continued viability of Marin’s agriculture. The action items are organized into three broad categories: agricultural production needs, public support, and regulatory assistance.

Board to Consider Redesigning Library Lobby Areas
The Board will be considering a $168,000 contract with Group 4 Architecture for various Library facility upgrades. In 2010, Marin County voters overwhelmingly approved Measure A – a revenue plan designed to provide critical funding for library services and facilities. Approximately $2 million of Measure A revenues have been identified for facility upgrades.
