Biker's Bald Hill Broom Bust

Ride out to Bald Hill and help restore habitat surrounding your favorite bike route!

Date/Time: Saturday April 2, 9 AM to Noon

Location: End of Lagunitas Rd.Ross, CA 94957

With the Marin Municipal Water District, volunteers will focus on containing the spread of French and Scotch broom monocultures and also eradicate pioneer patches. Habitat restoration begins at 9am. Substantial sandwiches follow field work at noon.

This project requires a mile hike or ride uphill to the project site on Worn Springs Fire Road. Carpooling and biking encouraged. The gate at Natalie Coffin Greene Park will be open until 9am to allow cars to drive up and park next to the dam. Visit our Google Map for more information and directions. · 8:45 am — Volunteer registration and welcome at Phoenix Lake dam

· 9 am — Hike or bike up to the restoration site

· 9:15 am-noon — Break up into teams and begin work

· Noon-1 pm — Lunch celebration at Phoenix Lake
