San Anselmo Sees 3 Lead For Town Council: Election Results.
For the three seats available, incumbents Brian Colbert and Alexis Fineman led the charge, along with newcomer Eileen Burke.
SAN ANSELMO, CA — With all precincts reporting, it was a close race for the San Anselmo Town Council Candidates. For the three seats available, incumbents Brian Colbert and Alexis Fineman led the charge, with newcomer Eileen Burke coming in third.
These three candidates could fill the three open seats on the San Anselmo Town Council, but vote tallies are still considered unofficial.
Colbert, who sought a second term held 25 percent of the votes, Fineman, who was a appointed last year, grabbed 24 percent of the votes and new to the council Burke, held strong with 18 percent of the votes.

The three incumbents were John Wright, who is seeking a third term and had 2,392 votes; Brian Colbert, who is seeking a second term and led with 3,139 votes; and Alexis Fineman, who was appointed to the council last year, led behind Colbert with 2,974 votes.
Opponent Ann Politzer, trailed with 1,986 votes, and Eileen Burke had 2,392 votes.

Colbert, Fineman and Burke held most of the votes to fill the three open seats of the San Anselmo Town Council.

Fineman, newly elected, is the youngest on the council at 27. She identifies climate change as the single most pressing issue in this election.
"As a representative of younger generations, one of my primary motivations for serving on the council is to ensure that we don't address today's problems in ways that will ultimately exacerbate tomorrow's," Fineman told Patch.
She supports fully staffing fire stations and is endorsed by the Ross Valley Firefighters Association as well as the Marin Professional Firefighters.

Colbert, 53, would plans to better address the short and long-term public health and economic effects of coronavirus.
"Since the advent of COVID-19, I have been part of the leadership of two county-wide committees, ensuring that San Anselmo has a strong voice during the pandemic," he told Patch in early October. "...I am also the only candidate responding to COVID19 on a with county-level committees for the Town of San Anselmo."
