Fairfax Holds Art & Nature Camp

The summer camp is open to 4-and 5-olds.

FAIRFAX, CA — The town of Fairfax is holding a summer camp that aims to help ready transitional kindergarten and kindergarten students for the upcoming school year.

The Art & Nature Camp is open to 4-and 5-olds.

The camp's daily activities will include a morning circle, music, storytelling and movement exercises, a snack time and a short nature walk and art activity program.

Children will learn how to work within a group of peers, enhance listening skills with music exercises and do hands on crafts and nature exploration with skilled teachers, town officials said.

The camp will be led by Olga Khaykin, who has 12 years of experience in child education.

“I look forward to sharing my love of nature and art under the oaks and redwoods this summer,” Khaykin said in a statement.

The camp will be held the week of July 12, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.

The camp will cost $325 but full and partial scholarships are available. To apply for a scholarship visit here.
