Fairfax Opens Community Skatepark

FAIRFAX, CA — The town of Fairfax on Monday announced the opening of a new skatepark.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the Fairfax Community Skatepark's opening on Saturday.

The park will be open 9 a.m. to sundown, seven days a week, town officials said.

Town officials cited an “extraordinary effort” from the community for the park's completion.

“The Fairfax Community Skatepark is Officially Open!” the town said in a newsletter announcing the park’s reopening.

“This was an extraordinary effort by a group of local volunteers, donors and the support of the Town Council and staff.”
