Fairfax Student Wins Marin County Central Spelling Bee

Eve Nudd, a sixth grader from White Hill Middle School, won the contest with the word "adolescence."

MARIN COUNTY, CA – A student from White Hill Middle School won the Marin County Central Regional Elementary Spelling Bee this week.

The regional spelling bee was held Tuesday at the Fairfax elementary school. Eve Nudd, a sixth grader from White Hill, won the contest with the word "adolescence."

Eve, along with second and third place winners, Sam Williams from White Hill and Alex Sumski from Kent Middle School in Kentfield, will represent the central region at the Marin County Elementary Spelling Bee Championship. The event will take place Nov. 3 at the Marin County Office of Education.

The regional and county elementary spelling bees are part of a countywide program of spelling contests coordinated by the Marin County Office of Education.
