Little Carson Falls Hike with David Herlocker
Come explore your favorite local waterfalls with a whole new perspective!

Tuesday May 17, 10 AM to 2 PM
Little Carson Falls is one of the most popular destinations in the county, particularly when it is roaring at full flow. In the spring, the foothill yellow-legged frog (a species that is listed as threatened) breeds in the stream and pools along the course of the falls. Unfortunately, when visitors and their pets take a dip in these waters this action can be devastating to the developing eggs and tadpoles. Since 2005, MMWD has enlisted the help of frog-watch volunteers to educate the public about the frogs and remind them to stay out of the water. Join us to hear about the program, and please invite anyone that is interested to join the frog docent force for the 2016 season. Remember to bring binoculars, if you have them. This walk is for ages 15 and up. We request that no pets (except service animals) attend. Questions: Contact Marin County Park’s David Herlocker (415) 893-9508. Meet at the Azalea Hill parking lot on Bolinas-Fairfax Road (3.8 miles above downtown Fairfax. 1.3 miles past the entrance to the Meadow Club).
