Marin Blaze Snarls Traffic

A brush fire in the area of Marin Center at Redwood Highway Frontage Road is causing traffic delays Friday morning, San Rafael police said.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes, police said.

Power lines downed by a blown transformer ignited the blaze according to police.

The San Rafael Police Department, the San Rafael Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol are on the scene.
